Stepping Out offer specific targeted Autism care & support to those diagnosed under the Autistic Spectrum Disorder and or who have severe traits of Asperger’s Syndrome.

Our 24-hour staffed semi independent living projects are suitable for those whom require well-structured living options with strict boundaries. Our projects offer 24 hour on site staff in order to ensure close and regular supervision.

These provisions are set up to provide a small group living environment in order to provide a homely setting. The small groups allow the service users to receive targeted support and close supervision, eliminating the issues of lack of engagement whilst ensuring the client does not feel overwhelmed and or crowded.

What We Provide

Life Skills Development:
Along with general daily assistance, we offer support with money management, consumer awareness, food management, health/hygiene, career exploration, decision making, utilization of community resources and more.
Goal Setting & Regular Meetings:
Weekly and monthly meetings are set out to plan activities, goals and objectives. Weekly meetings with staff are also arranged, allowing the service user to voice any concerns, complaints or requests.
Counselling:
Individual counselling sessions incorporating different therapy techniques as well as general life coaching. Mental health and substance misuse services are also available if necessary.
Community Access & Support:
Accessing community resources, making and attending appointments, as well as enabling our service users to engage in as many aspects of community life and activity as the individual chooses. Our aim is to broaden choices & oppurtunities, additional specific travel training programmes can be purchased if deemed necessary.

Through well-structured risk assessments that incorporate strict boundaries and produce positve measurable outcomes, Stepping Out are able to offer vulnerable people the opportunity to improve their quality of life and enable them to achieve greater independence.
