Home Care

Sometimes referred to as domiciliary care, outreach support and live in care, home care is one of the key services offered by Stepping Out througout North London & Hertfordshire. We offer bespoke, quality home care packages spanning various individual support services, depending upon your assessed needs.

Domiciliary care helps you maintain your independence, privacy and lifestyle, whilst enjoying your time in the community with your own dedicated carer to accompany you on shopping trips, social events, or even simply to the cinema.

Stepping Out can provide home care packages ranging from ½ hour visits, up to 24 hour live-in care. Thanks to us, you no longer need to leave your home behind to receive the care and support you need. For more information on our home care services, contact us.

What We Provide

Personal Care:
Washing, bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed, toilet assistance.
Social Care:
Community access, companionship and outings, enabling, visiting you at hospital, attending appointments.
Medical Assistance:
Administering and monitoring prescribed medication, bandage/dressing changing, and any other required assistance.
Domestic Care:
Cleaning, vacuuming, gardening, meal preparation, laundry, ironing and other household tasks, night sitting and shopping.

Once you contact us at Stepping Out we will arrange to meet with you, your social worker and a family member or a friend of your choice to assess your needs, we will then produce a care plan that would set out the services, including the care and support that you require. Once you have read and agreed to the care plan then we can begin providing our services to you.

Stepping out have strict recruitment policies, all our staff go through a vigorous recruitment, induction, training and supervision sessions in order to ensure that they can constantly improve and develop. All of our support workers/carers have a minimum NVQ Level 2 in health and social care, and an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check. For more information view our Home Care Slideshow.

Our Quality Assurance System

The company has put into place various systems to help to set and achieve goals and targets, monitor, assess and review performance and act on findings to continually improve business quality and performance in the best interest of its service users.

The company ensures that staff supervision and appraisals are carried out in line with CQC regulations and training targets are achieved and monitored for all staff. Complaints procedures are in place to ensure continued quality management. All complaints are logged and actioned and the information shared with staff, customers and regulators of the service.

To maintain the quality of service, the company will send out regular quality surveys to its service users and to relevant local authorities to help measure the quality of service we provide.
