In line with the personalisation agenda, it is now possible to recruit a carer or personal assistant directly, withot the need for social workers or councils to get involved.

This service offers our clients help with advertising for and recruiting a suitable personal assistant and includes support around obtaining a potential employees previous references, arranging interviews, applying for a criminal records bureau check and setting up a mutually agreeable employment contract.

What We Provide

Stage One:

  • Drawing up a suitable advert for a personal assistant.
  • Advertising for a Personal Assistant’s role to include sourcing local press material, contacting relevant department, negotiation on fees, size of advert and the time the advert will stay live, alternatively a free posting in local job centres can be used for advertising the role.
  •  Receiving potential candidate Curriculum Vitae, assessing the candidates and organising a short list of those deemed suitable for the role.

Stage Two:

  • Arranging interviews with suitable candidates.
  • Support with carrying out the interview if required.  (*additional cost)
  • Arranging for second interview with candidate where discussion of terms may take place i.e. salary, working hours etc. (*additional cost)
  • Supporting the client with contacting candidate references.
  • Applying for a Criminal Record Bureau check complete service included CRB cost.
  • Ensuring the candidate is eligible to work in the UK.

Stage Three:

  • The arranging of a mutually agreeable employment contract Full/part time.
  • The arrangement of a Job Description.
  • Finalising the employment of the candidate in writing and fully confirming the working hours and salary.

Final Stage:

  • General advice given verbally pertaining to best practice and the management of an employee.
  • Written advice provided to client regarding training and information that relates to ensuring the employee is able to continue with their personal development and increase their value.
