Semi Independent Living

Stepping Out provides comprehensive semi independent living services throughout North London & Hertfordshire. Our projects are located close to transport links and local amenities, and are staffed up to 24 hours a day offering a high level, structured and supervised group living arrangement.

The provisions are ideal for those whom display challenging behaviour, Sexually Harmful Behaviour, Drug & alcohol abuse, sexualised behaviour, MAPPA cases, self-harm, suicidal tendencies, learning disabilities, Autism and other high support need conditions. Our projects are usually gender and age specifc, each project specialises with accommodating and supporting different client groups. We ensure our placements are safe and have a high probability of producing positive outcomes.

We understand that for most young people leaving care, the transition from care to full independence can be difficult. Stepping Out can help bridge that gap by working with the young person to build on their strengths and abilities. Where necessary we provide specific move on placements. Education & Training

Our semi-independent living provisions now offer In-house training and education courses regulated by City & Guilds and NOCN. Some clients are unable to access local training providers for various reasons, for example clients on Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements, clients with autism and limited social skills, clients whom are sexually harmful and or clients whom display severe challenging behaviours. Our in-house training and education programme is designed to ensure our clients are able to access opportunities not readily available within a safe, holistic environment.

Through well-structured risk assessments that incorporate strict boundaries and produce positve measurable outcomes, Stepping Out are able to offer vulnerable people the opportunity to improve their quality of life and enable them to achieve greater independence.
