Semi independent living – Life skills & building confidence

Stepping Out are renowned for managing service users with severe challenging behaviour, and those needing extensive care & support. This is achieved through well structured risk assessments that incorporate strict boundaries throughout our semi-independent living provisions.

As well as providing care & support, our primary objective is to improve confidence and promote independence. Stepping Out staff are on hand 24 hours a day to help build self confidence and improve general life skills in order to achieve the outcomes needed.

We help improve and build life skills by providing support with money management, food management, health/hygiene, career exploration, decision making, utilization of community resources and more. We also set weekly and monthly goal setting plans which are discussed I house meetings.

Stepping out are experienced with providing services for those with; Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health Issues, borderline personality disorders, Challenging Behaviour, Moderate Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Sexually Harmful and sexualised Behaviours, Drug & alcohol abuse, self-harm, suicidal tendencies, Alzheimer’s and Early Onset Dementia & Dual Diagnosis.
